Heroes Of Peace

FOUR STRUGGLING WAR VETERANS FIND HEALING THROUGH YOGA & MEDITATION

17mins | 2015 | complete

Award winning short documentary about four war veterans who transformed trauma into hope and healing through yoga and meditation.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, is a debilitating mental disorder that affects approximately 20% of people involved in armed conflict. There is no clinically proven cure for its effects. In the distant island of Tasmania, however, a remarkable story unfolded over the last 20 years that challenges this notion. Four debilitated war veterans who thought they would never feel joy again, found hope, healing and peace. "Heroes Of Peace" tells the story of how yoga and meditation, when harnessed holistically, can heal the scars of trauma and transform lives.
